Kiwi Foo 2009 - 26 March 09
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiwi_Foo_Camp : The un-conference with great conversations.
I attended Foo again this year, getting into the swing of things by running the “2009 the year of touch” session. It was very rewarding to see this topic spark a lot of interesting debate and discussion as any good Foo topic should.
There is no doubt, the best part of the Foo experience is the wide array of interesting experts in so many fields collected together in one place. The un-conference format leaves the outcome up to the attendees which is very empowering .
Congratulations to Nat, Jenine and Russell again for their efforts in running what is now their third successful Kiwi Foo.
I am officially dumbfounded by Viks beautiful perspex and steel sculpture which just happens to be a 3D printer.
The amazing kiwi electric racing car from greenstage being admired by everybody.
Paul Campbells great El wire sculpture which can only really be appreciated properly on a nice summers night watching the wings cycle through their animation.
Lucy from Felt adroitly showing us how to solder El wire.
A remarkable creation in spaghetti and marshmallow. You may notice it is was upright, unlike my counter sculpture which was most notable for it's complete lack of structure.
Cheers
Dave
