Hover only interaction

This is a really interesting experimental project a colleague pointed me at www.dontclick.it. It won't work for touch as we have no hover event. However I highly recommend trying this site out to re-evaluating what you think about mouse interfaces!

I find the buttons with the 'swipe' a little irritating, but the concept of roll over menus which then expose a second rollover to confirm seems very natural (essentially a button per menu item).

We have a research project underway to augment a touchscreen with a webcam to provide a low resolution hover effect - I think this kind of user interface rethinking could be a very interesting area to explore.
